Jinan has been bolstering its efforts to develop 161 transportation projects covering land, air, and sea with a total investment amounting to 66 billion yuan ($9.47 billion) this year, an increase of 15 percent year-on-year.

This year, the total length of the city's railway has reached 801 kilometers, of which 411 km are high-speed railways, directly reaching 254 cities across the country.

The total length of roads opened to traffic has reached 18,228 km, including 766-km of expressways.

With the Yellow River Fenghuang Bridge completed and opened to traffic, Jinan has a total of 15 channels to cross the Yellow River.

Jinan is also beefing up its efforts to promote urban rail transit into a network, which is expected to be completed by 2025 with its total scale reaching 243.7 km.

In addition, Jinan has opened 181 domestic airline routes and 27 international airline routes, reaching 116 cities at home and abroad.

The second phase project of Jinan Yaoqiang International Airport has commenced construction, which is expected to meet the transportation needs of 55 million passengers and 520,000 tons of cargo throughput every year after construction is completed by the end of 2026.
